March 25- April 7

March 25: To answer your questions dad, I don't know if you've seen a map of the mission, but it's within 10-15 minutes of the mission HQ. It's definitely different in a ward. It's not a big ward, but it is one of the biggest, if not THE biggest I've ever been in. Small for our stake though. I'm planning on singing on the 13th. I think. I need a song to sing. Any suggestions?

March 25: Before I forget! I met the guy that sent in the radio, telling the U.S. that the war is over in Germany! He knew General Patton!

I think what I'm actually going to do for the song in sacrament, is sing it with 3 other elders, and we'll do parts. We're looking at 97,98,100, 134, and 136 right now. No, Bro. Wick is here in Pasco. It's really cool, because he hadn't been to church for several months, and after we gave him a blessing, he's been here the past two weeks, and always hunts us down to say hi. :) He's such a sweet old man. Yeah, I've settled into the area pretty well. I don't like English work as much as Spanish in all honesty.

You're right [mom], pride is a big problem I've seen. Some members I've seen have far larger houses than they really need. Or they might be criticizing some of the people that we teach, without realizing it. I definitely have more respect for those without much now. Not all of them. Not those that aren't willing to change. But now I see, that many have a lot more to offer than I've previously seen. Darn it, I'm rambling again. Love you all!

I did FINALLY get dry cleaning though, just now, for 2 of my 3 suits. After a year and a half... I was down to one suit that wasn't too dirty yet. -_

Dad: did you hear the Tabernacle choir sing “ A Childs Prayer”?  Didn’t that remind you of when you and Stephanie sang it?
Colton: Yes, I always think about my farewell when I see that song. Does that make me trunky?

I'm doing good. I just keep getting sick. I'm not drinking enough vit C or water. I always just forget.

Quoted from my email to President:
So, I LOVED this week, now that I really think about it. R., one of our investigators, has really been changing. We were talking to him about it, and we just had a really good lesson with him this week. Unfortunately, he didn't come to conference like he said he would (and we forgot to remind him! Dx), but he did read the last assignment we gave him, and he was telling us in our last lesson with him, "Wow, I didn't realize that baptism was so important... Now... IF I get baptized, don't get too excited you two! But IF I get baptized, I'm going to have to make a lot of changes, huh?" We answered emphatically in the affirmative. :) He's so funny, and gives such honest, sincere prayers. Plus, he volunteered to give the prayer this last lesson. That's always a good sign. :) In other news, A., one of our best investigators, came to conference at the church Saturday morning! We're trying to get in contact with her, to see if she saw the others, but she also had been watching old sessions in her free time at work! She's doing so great, she was telling us that, "Before, I listened to what you were saying, and I thought it made sense. Now I hear it, and it makes sense in a different way. I'm not sure how. I guess it just FEELS right." We were pretty confused until she said the "feels right" part. We were really excited the rest of the lesson. :) That night after the lesson, she sent us a text, telling us how happy she had been feeling in her life since we'd been coming over, and that she feels like she's on the right track in life. Now we just need to get her on date!
